2007 Passion Play Comments

Thank You For Your Comments

"The Resurrection scene seemed especially powerful this year. I was one of the angels, and I guess it finally hit me - Jesus is alive! There was one performance when the fog on stage was so thick that I couldn't see the audience. The stage was shaking from the music, and when Jesus stepped out of the tomb I imagined, for a split second, that I was THERE. It was incredible!"

"There was a little girl sitting in front of us in the gym… and she was asking so many questions...like why don’t they want Jesus free...and who’s that guy and why did they do that to him....and she was crying and then the resurrection scene she was clapping… and it was so cute it almost made me cry.. but I had to tell you that... because that’s what the Passion Play is all about.....oh the faith of a child... it was lovely… and at least one child was brought to tears."

"Someone at supper told me that when they saw our set the way it was lit and how good it looked they thought it was a painting at first."
-Tim

"Fabuloso!  It has renewed our Trust and love for God!"
-The Eds

"I would like to thank everyone involved for such a wonderful, moving performance again this year.  I am so glad our family was able to attend.  I hope there is a way that the play will go on next spring as well... Thank you all so much. God Bless!"
-Cindy Good

"I attended the ‘Passion Play’ at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan on Sabbath afternoon. It had snowed about 2-3 inches on Friday night and it was a chilly 23º with a wind-chill of 10º outside with blustery snow but we braved the elements and went anyway. The annual Easter Passion Play is an interactive indoor and outdoor walk-through experience depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The cast and crew have done an amazing job at recreating the bible time’s villages, sets and costumes. The set for the tomb where the resurrection takes place is phenomenal and the entire experience is very thought provoking as well as heart moving and humbling."

"...We really appreciated the children's area in the tent after the play.  What a wonderful addition!  Thanks for all of your hard work...you are really making Easter time more meaningful for so many people."
-Mindy Lanphear, Lawrence, MI

"You are a light shining in the darkness and you have moved thousands of people to a deeper sense of the Gospel message.  It glows from everyone connected with the production."
-Dr. Eugene Kennedy

"Thank you for what you do.  It was a blessing to be there for Easter Passion Play.  And also I'm impressed how everyone acts and involves us in the scene.  I will be there next year and I hope you're planning to do it again.  I'm sharing my experience with others and I'm inviting friends for next year.  Thank you again."
-Patricia Hage

"I really have to tip my hat to all of you in what you did with the Passion Play this year.  It was a real act of listening to God’s voice to know what to do.  All of you did that superbly!  No one can really know what went on behind the scenes to keep everything going smoothly – Thank you for the inspiration!  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!

By all means necessary, please do the Passion Play next year.  With so many churches in the area, we certainly should be able to garner the help needed to do the play on Easter weekend.  Perhaps there are people in each of the churches that would be willing to be a representative for the Passion Play.  May God richly bless you and your team."
-Grace Carlos, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Andrews University

"I missed the animals but I loved this year’s indoor Passion Play more than I expected."

"When I volunteered to help with the PP I did not realize what the story would do for me. I am so happy I made the time to volunteer"
-Andrews Univ. Student

"Your students must be a very dedicated group. They have their studiess yet find time to put on such a quality Easter play."

"What a might God we Serve" The Resurrection Scene was the most impressive Scene I have ever witness it really touched me, just to know that my God suffered  on the cross just for me.
